The ÜBERGÄNGE Festival of the Wiener Hofmusikkapelle, which was founded last year, will take place for the second time in the Vienna Imperial Court Chapel from 24-31 March 2024 and will once again offer a diverse sacred and secular programme.
In addition to the masses, a highlight will be the "IMPULSE in the Imperial Court Chapel" programme. At noon every day from 25-29 March, 12:00-12:30, Nadja Kayali will recite texts by five contemporary female Austrian writers free of charge. The works written especially for "IMPULSE in the Imperial Court Chapel", "IMAGO DEI" and Carinthischer Sommer will be premiered in the special atmosphere of the Imperial Court Chapel. The series will be complemented by music from the Company of Music.
Two special charity concerts round off this year's ÜBERGÄNGE Festival. On Monday, 25 March at 18:30, the Viennese original sound ensemble dolce risonanza will perform the "Doloris Mysteria", the five Mystery Sonatas by Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber corresponding to the cycle of the year, in aid of Jugend eine Welt. On Thursday, 28 March at 19:00, there will be a benefit concert with the Auner Quartet in aid of Pharmaciens Sans Frontières. The programme for this evening includes works by Anton Bruckner and Arnold Schönberg as well as the Austrian premiere of the commissioned work by Konstantia Gourzi.
