The ÜBERGÄNGE FESTIVAL 2025 of the Vienna Court Music Ensemble will take place for the third time from 13-20 April 2025 in the Vienna Imperial Court Chapel and will once again offer a varied sacred and secular programme.
In addition to the masses on Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday, the now traditional programme ‘IMPULSE in the Imperial Court Chapel’ is a highlight. At noon every day from Monday, 14 April to Friday, 18 April, 12:00-12:30, Nadja Kayali recites texts by five renowned female writers at free admission. The works written especially for ‘IMPULSE in the Imperial Court Chapel’ and the Carinthian Summer will be premiered in the special atmosphere of the Imperial Court Chapel. The series will be musically organised by the Company of Music, which will also focus on the former Hofkapellmeister Antonio Salieri on the occasion of SALIERI 2025.
Two special charity concerts round off this year's ÜBERGÄNGE Festival. On Tuesday, 15 April, 18:30, the Philharmonia Chorus Vienna ( director: Walter Zeh) will perform ‘The Seven Last Words of Our Saviour on the Cross’ by Joseph Haydn together with the Capella Paulana for the benefit of Caritas. On Thursday, 17 April at 18:30, there will be a benefit concert with the Auner Quartet in aid of ‘Pharmacists without Borders’. The programme for this evening includes works by Johanna Doderer, Fanny Mendelssohn and Fritz Kreisler.
