‘Angelus descendens’ - the image of a descending angel by Paul Klee inspired the title of Beat Furrer's first work for solo organ, which will be performed for the first time in Vienna on 20 January. The floating shimmering and the multifaceted moving melodies of this work form the musical starting point for the opening of the concert series ‘Gesprächskonzerte - Concert Talk’ by Cantando Admont. Under the musical direction of Cordula Bürgi, you will hear the wonderful voices of Johanna Zachhuber (soprano), Terry Wey (countertenor), Jan Petryka (tenor) and Ulfried Staber (bass) with Renaissance motets by Ludwig Senfl, Jacob Obrecht and Heinrich Isaac as well as the Viennese premiere of a work by Alyssa Aska and a world premiere by Klaus Lang for four voices and organ. Organist Wolfgang Kogert will bring almost all the tonal possibilities and beauties of the organ in the Imperial Court Chapel to life.
In cooperation with the Wiener Hofmusikkapelle
