The Strottern

Einedrahn is a guest at the Vienna Imperial Court Chapel:
The Strottern sing us their Viennese song virtuosically performed in contemporary threads

It doesn't hurt to know and like the original Viennese song from the last few centuries. But you don't need either to enjoy the two thoroughbred artists Klemens Lendl and David Müller. This intelligent, authentic and excellently harmonising duo's raucous, heartfelt performance contains so much comedy and artistry that there is no room for pondering or questioning anyway. In all of this, the two of them are not always able to hold their Hackney carriage horses. Leiwand! Small world reflections of a poetry of funny sadness, full of the tongue-in-cheek wisdom behind supposed simplicity. The two will also sing one or the other Schubert song, very delicately, with Strottern-like genius. Viennese song at its very best, performed with virtuosity in a contemporary attire.
